Painted in the spring and early summer of 2017, this painting captures a view through Central Park of 520 Park Avenue by RAMSA architects (Robert A.M. Stern). This new building, now complete, features a lot less glass than most new skyscrapers in Manhattan, drawing inspiration from the nearby historical towers (the Pierre and the Sherry-Netherland). While painting, the field I was standing in was consistently occupied by a group of 4 poodles, 2 of which are featured in this painting.
